Ryan’s dance journey began with the infectious energy of country line dancing, but it wasn’t long before he was drawn to the couples on the edge of the floor, captivated by the artistry of partner dancing. While he enjoys a variety of partner dance styles, it was West Coast Swing and Hustle that truly ignited his passion—one that continues to fuel his dedication to movement, connection, and expression.

That passion has taken Ryan across the country as a traveling instructor, judge, and competitor in the All-Star division, as well as in Pro-Am competitions. You may have even spotted him on the UCWDC circuit, guiding students through the rhythm and flow of two-step. Known for his dynamic body movements, seamless connection, and effortlessly fun style, Ryan creates memorable moments on the dance floor.

Beyond his own competitive achievements, Ryan is deeply committed to growth—continuously learning, refining, and applying new dance techniques to elevate both his own performance and his teaching. His background in education shines through in his instruction, blending a playful, witty and engaging approach with a strong foundation in technique. Whether working with beginners or seasoned dancers, he helps students not just move—but truly feel, understand, and utilize various techniques to enhance their dancing. More than anything, Ryan believes that dance should be an experience—one that’s enriching, exhilarating, and most of all, fun.
