In this special two-part series at EA Dance Art, we are diving deep into the art of hitting "the 1." Understanding musical phrasing is the secret sauce to making your dance look and feel intentional. Catching those major beats isn't just for advanced pros—it is a core skill for every dancer to strive for, practice, and master.
We’ll cover how to anticipate musical changes, nail your timing to land right on the heavy beats, and play with creative variations that highlight the music.
